Friday of the Ninth Week of Ordinary Time

Today's Mass Readings

When I read today’s readings, the first word that comes to my mind is perseverance. We all go through many trials and difficulties throughout our lives, sometimes on a daily basis. But we can offer all of those trials and difficulties to the Lord as an oblation of love and have faith. With God’s strength, we have the power to “move mountains.”

When another trial or difficulty comes your way, simply say to the Lord, “O Jesus, this is for love of you, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.” Our Lady gave this little prayer to the three shepherd children at Fatima on July 13, 1917. Through the intercession of Our Lady may we always remain faithful and persevere to the end and lift the high the cross of the Lord to show that we can conquer anything with His help.
